Description

With large retirement balances in defined-contribution plans as well as the potential for large wealth transfers to the next generations, this course will review six alternative transfer strategies after the SECURE Act “stretch” modifications. Many beneficiaries, who under the old rules would have stretched their withdrawals over their life expectancy, will now need to find alternative ways to help reduce their tax burdens resulting in less after-tax money for the beneficiary.

Learning Objectives

After the SECURE Act modified inherited IRA “stretch” options, attendees will learn six alternative transfer strategies that can help beneficiaries potentially receive more after-tax money. Options discussed will demonstrate how to structure certain assets for transfer along with specific solutions using products such as life insurance and buffered exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
