CFP® Professional Reinstatement Form

The Reinstatement Fee ($100) and any applicable late fees will be paid, online through your CFP.net account, within 3-5 days from the date of email notification that your Intent to Reinstate has been accepted.

Outstanding CE (continuing education) requirements must be completed and reported, by the CE Sponsor or the self-reporting process, by the date stated on the email notification that your Intent to Reinstate has been accepted.

A CFP Board Ethics course must be completed within the past 12-months.

CFP Board may request verification of current employment and/or qualifications and disciplinary history through FINRA’s Central Registration Depository (CRD).

The CFP Application and applicable renewal fee will be completed, online through your CFP.net account, within 3-5 days after the completion of the CE requirement.

I understand that the CFP® certification marks cannot be used until I receive formal notification that the reinstatement process has been complete.

I understand that CFP Board may deny reinstatement if past conduct revealed through the routine background check does not meet CFP Board Fitness Standards for Candidates and Professionals Eligible for Reinstatement.
