Cary Carbonaro, CFP® is an award-winning, internationally known personal finance expert with over 25 years of experience. She is currently Managing Advisor, Women and Wealth Ambassador for Ashton Thomas Private Wealth. She has been a CFP Board Ambassador for over a decade. Previously, Cary was a partner and Head of Women’s Leadership at United Capital, which was acquired by Goldman Sachs. A recipient of the prestigious 2016 InvestmentNews Women to Watch award, she was also listed as No. 4 among the Top 100 Advisors in the U.S., as ranked by Investopedia. Additionally, she was listed in Investopedia’s Top 100 rankings for 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023. Cary was appointed as the sole female on the Nasdaq Advisory Council in 2024. Cary’s 2015 book, The Money Queen’s Guide for Women Who Want to Build Wealth and Banish Fear, was an Amazon No. 1 bestseller in Wealth Management in several countries. Her newest book, published by Wiley in April 29 2025, is entitled “Women and Wealth: A Playbook To Empower Clients and Unlock Their Fortune.” It is a book to harness the upcoming wealth shift to women and teach financial advisors how to serve female clients. She has spoken all over the world about financial literacy for women. Cary holds a B.A. from SUNY Cortland and an MBA from Long Island University.
