Verify Your Coursework
Instructions for verifying your coursework completion are provided below. Reviewing this information carefully can help to ensure that your exam eligibility is received correctly and on time.
coursework verification
In order to sit for the CFP® exam, you must first complete the coursework requirement through a CFP Board Registered Program or one of the alternative paths referenced below. While you may register for the exam before this requirement has been satisfied, completion of the coursework requirement must be verified by the education verification deadline of your selected exam. Instructions for verifying your coursework completion are provided below.
Completion of the coursework requirement through a CFP Board Registered Program is to be reported by the school through the education verification system. Previously completed coursework will qualify for credit if it was taken through a program registered with CFP Board at the time of your enrollment.
Search for your school and find contact information for your program.
Contact [email protected] if you do not see your school listed.
It is helpful if you provide your CFP Board ID number to the school to ensure that the record of completion they submit matches to your CFP Board account.
Note: Schools can only report students who have successfully completed the full registered program through their institution. View the Multiple Registered Programs section below for instructions on verifying your coursework completion through multiple schools.
