CFP Board Seeks Candidates for 2024 Board of Directors

CFP Board is now accepting applications from individuals interested in serving on CFP Board's Board of Directors (Board), the strategic governing body of the organization, beginning in January 2024.

To complement the skills and experience of existing board members, the Board’s Nominating Committee is seeking candidates with one or more of the following characteristics:

• A client-facing CFP® practitioner
• A public member with financial regulatory and/or enforcement background

The Board of Directors is the governing authority for CFP Board Center for Financial Planning and the Board of Directors and sole voting members of CFP Board of Standards. As the policymaking and oversight body of CFP Board, the Board is responsible for furthering CFP Board's mission and acts on behalf of the public, CFP® professionals and other stakeholders. Board Directors serve three-year terms, and each year, two to four new Board positions are available.

The culture of our Board is lively and collaborative, and Board members have a significant opportunity to participate in guiding the policy direction of the organization, furthering the benefits to the public by ensuring the CFP® certification is upheld as the recognized standard of excellence for personal financial planning.
