Neal Hansen, CFP®: Changing Lives One Client at the Time

Neal Hansen, CFP® is a Financial Advisor for Vanguard Personal Advisor Services in Scottsdale, Arizona. He finds his profession to be rewarding because he gets to make a difference in his clients’ lives. 

When asked to describe an example, Neal said, “One of my favorite experiences as a financial advisor is working with a woman who is the primary provider and caregiver of her family. Her husband has had several medical complications and is not able to help out much either physically or financially. She came to me worried that they would not have enough saved retirement and make it through their lifetimes. I was able to work with her to make sure she and her family could be financially sound over the long run.”

A typical day at Neal’s firm consists of tasks like responding to emails, placing trades in client portfolios, attending team meetings with fellow advisors and his manager, and phone and video appointments with clients and prospective clients. 

“I enjoy getting to know clients on a personal level and showing them the value of partnering with me here at Vanguard,” he said. “Receiving positive client feedback regarding our previous experiences is one of the most rewarding aspects of my role as a financial planner.
